About this piece
A matching pair of detailed icons by Olga Ivkin: the Kursk Root Mother of God and Christ the True Vine with the Holy Apostles. The Theotokos and Christ Child are surrounded by Old Testament prophets on one icon, while Christ appears at the center of a vine with the apostles on the other. Coordinating vine motifs and warm colors unite the two compositions for a home prayer corner.
The pair brings prophets and apostles together around Christ. The True Vine composition recalls His teaching in John 15 about the life His disciples receive through abiding in Him.
Includes two separate wood-mounted icons: one Kursk Root Mother of God icon and one Christ the True Vine icon. The selected dimensions apply to each icon individually. The price includes the complete pair.
Artwork by Olga Ivkin, a partner iconographer of St. Spyridon Icons. Each high-resolution printed reproduction is mounted and finished by hand on a solid wood panel in our Texas workshop, with finished edges, a clear protective finish, and a keyhole on the back for hanging.
